Frankie in Dublin

Frankie in Dublin

In 1937 Frankie Manning visited Ireland with the Cotton Club Revue; fresh from the success of their European tour of Paris and London, they performed at the Dublin Theatre Royal the week of 30 August to 4 September, introducing Irish audiences to the Lindy Hop. The Irish swing dance community has come together to celebrate the 80th anniversary of this historic visit, to celebrate Frankie Manning's legacy and the joy of Lindy Hop. We will follow in Frankie's steps and revisit 1937s Dublin, there will be classic Lindy Hop cinema screenings, special guests, great live music, fun activities... and lots of social dancing day and night. Come join the Irish friendly swing dance community for this special occasion!
