Celebrate Lindy Hop where it all began! with the World Finals of the 2024 International Lindy Hop Championship. This one-of-a-kind 5-day festival celebrates swing-era music, dance, history and culture while building community for new generations of fans! Centering around the historic Alhambra Ballroom (2116 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd.), this 5-day festival will offer social dancing to live jazz bands every night, a variety of dance classes, contests for dancers at all levels — from Beginner to Invitational educational talks, walking and bicycle tours of Harlem, a visit to Jazz Corner of Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, and more! The parties also includes a special commemoration of World Lindy Hop Day (May 26) and a free public cultural collaboration Monday afternoon and with a dance lesson, jazz buskers and dance jam with street and club dancers on Memorial Day (May 27). Tena Morales-Armstrong, event president and CEO said, We've promised our elders to help preserve the essence of Lindy Hop, and through ILHC, we hope to do just that. We hope you join the celebration!
