This festival revolves around scat syllables - as a shared pulse, as a tool for groove, accents, breaks, and for music that goes straight into the body. We work with voice, feet, and partner. Solo Jazz and Lindy Hop intertwine. Call & response, grooving together, shared rhythms. You don't need to be able to sing. You just need to listen, respond, and join in. Whether you're a beginner or experienced in swing: you can look forward to a diverse program of scat & Lindy Hop workshops, voice sessions, an Afro taster, and a Lindy Hop beginner intro class.
