This international swing and dance music festival is organized by Aixtraswing, the swing dance association of Aix en Provence. In the heart of Provence (South east of France between Nice and Montpellier : a joyful event in the historic and enchanting city of Aix en Provence welcoming you with its 17th century decor squares its famous fountains and terraces. Dive in the swing culture: dances, live jazz music and history. The venue : an amphitheater and former matches factory to set the dancefloor on fire! The program 2 concerts with 2 different jazz bands and enough swinging power to make you dance like crazy 2 swing balls on Friday and Saturday on live music and DJ A Large amphitheater of 270 seats with its 3 dancefloors Open-air dances (our "guinguette" atmosphere) Shows and Mix and match competitions Discovery courses on saturday for curious newbies A film screening or conference about jazz and dance on thursday, free attendance for workshop ticket holders Sunday bye-bye party A swing dance workshop on saturday and sunday with several levels in Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz.
